Born 1963 Melbourne, Australia. Childhood spent in Sydney under the informal tutelage of his father, eminent academic and writer on architectural history, Robert. Unwilling to conform to the constraints of formal study, he worked in the Sydney music industry from 1982 unti 1999, when he took up painting full time.
 

His art is objective and representational, often taking themes and subject matter directly from nature. Compositional structures are often reduced to a minimum with large areas of contrasting colour. Veering away from the concept of art for interior decoration he maintains an artistic independence and integrity which is enhanced through travel. He regularly exhibits in Australia and Switzerland
